So Christmas has come and gone and it is time to bring in 2012!!! I first would like to wish everyone a great and Blessed New Year!
Now on to the craziness of fashion...
As I was driving last night in Rancho Cucamonga I came to a stop at a red light. As I was sitting waiting for my light to turn green a girl in maybe her early 20's walked slowly across the crosswalk... This girl was sporting some skin tight leopard print leggings and a ultra tight black shirt- now to top this bad boy outfit off she was wearing a beaning in the shape of a leopard's head. Oh way to much going on and I do have to say once you exit elementary school the animal shaped headgear is a No NO! Leggings are not pants and when they show off all your creases and lines DO NOT WEAR THEM and I don't care if you are a size 2 or 20...

That is all for now! I will be back soon!!!

So I am back people- now it is time for all those holiday work parties and well you should not dress like a street walker for these... I attended a party with my boyfriend this past weekend and the outfit that stood out the most was a girl wearing a very short black bandage type dress. Now this dress did not fit in any one the right places- it was too tight and far to short for a company work party. Your boss should not be able to see your cheeks if you know what I mean! The dress made her look horrible because the fit was all wrong and that is just too bad because she would have looked nice in something that fit her body type. The black dress she wore we will just say was showing off very line and crease on her body and well no one needs to see that.
So girls, girls, girls please dress for your body type and please choose something that brings out all your good assets- do not look like a prostitute ever!

Oh me oh my... The outfits I saw last night at the store; well they were all sorts of special.
The first spotting was a women in her late 30's wearing a tan colored crop top and purple flower print biker shorts and black hiking boots. Now the winds last night were about 50mph and it was cold- her boyfriend or husband was dressed for the weather so why wasn't she. I am not even sure where you would buy shorts like that anymore- I mean they were super tight and I really don't need to see your world... The crop top alone would have made the outfit a no-no but the whole thing alone was too much to ignore.
The next person I spotted and yes these were at the same store and no it was not Wal-Mart...
This man was wearing super baggy jeans tucked into bedazzled black cowboy boots and a extremely large jacket. This was a big and tall man; however, they do make clothes that will fit his body type. The boots were something else I tell ya- gold beading all over them and he told the man in front on me that he makes them him-self. I wasn't sure what look he was going for but the one he picked did not work. Great that he is creative and wants to try new looks out but pick one and make sure it fits you right.
Such a night with all the interesting looks... Remember no matter what your size or style is make sure the look fits your body!

Today it is "really why does your hair look like that!"
I have no issue with the girls who like to poof up their hair; however, please brush it correctly. I  have seen so many girls with a huge rat nest on their heads and they don't cover it so that the poof looks good. Now take a section of your hair (this will be the front) and move it to the side- then take the section you want to rat up and use a comb and rat the roots of your hair- spray and the take the section moved to the side and cover all of the ratted area and style. I should not be able to see the mess of hair under that section, it should be covered. Your poof will look better and you won't look like a mess- it will be a win win situation!

Let's talk about make-up today kids... I love make-up; it is fun and you can become a different face with each application. I know different brands create different looks; however, you should never look like you actually painted your face with a thick material.  I should never see a line that separates your jaw line and your neck or your ears from your face. The word we should learn is BLEND- your make-up should blend. Don't look like the  "Don't" in a magazine.
You can have a bright eye shadow on or a red lipstick- know the look you are trying to achieve and practice it before going out in public. I myself love to wear red eye shadow when I go out at night- but that is a look you have to practice because you have to learn to BLEND it just right. Make-up companies have tried to make it really easy for girls by selling sheets or make-up already in the order you apply so that there is no guessing. Great idea for those who like make-up but need a little help.
Make-up should liven you up not make you. You should never look like you have cream on your face and always check for lines. Don't let the make-up wear you- it is not made for that. Remember it is an accessory and  should look great so if you need help go to a make-up counter and ask them to show you. Also you shouldn't look like an orange; I see way too many girls looking like this- please change brands to get a natural glow.
Thanks for reading and if you have any questions send them my way!

P.S. a tip for removing eye make-up that your soap didn't take off is to rub a little vasoline over your eye and then wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Sweats are NOT Pants

Now girls and boys sweats are not pants and should not be worn out of the house. When you add boots to your sweat pants or pj's that is not an outfit- that is just lazy! Also if you can put on shoes you can also take off those horrible sweats or pj's (let me be clear- both are bad) and put on a real pair of pants. Take pride in yourself and get dressed- remember to wear clothes that fit your body! That is all  for today kids, this was something that has bothered me for a long time!
